EVENT SUMMARY

Registration Protocol
Monday 14 April 2008 8am - 4pm

On Bump in from 8am Monday 14/4/08 exhibitors will be required to register before setting up their booths. There will be a clearly designated Registration Room at Buchanan Park where exhibitors will be given a registration pack containing name badges, opening function tickets and lunch passes. All other networking events will have a registration sheet on the day and tickets will be not be issued or required.

Opening Function
Monday 14 April 2008 7pm - late

The 2008 Xstrata Mining Expo Opening function will be held in the Kalkadoon arena at Buchanan Park from 7pm- late on Monday night. A futuristic mining extravaganza will greet guests as the festivities get under way. This event is black tie - however a formal dress for ladies and a suit for men is acceptable.

Networking Function
Tuesday 15 April 2008 - 7pm

A relaxed evening at the Billabong Bar at the Buffs Club at 7pm on Tuesday night will give exhibitors the opportunity to enjoy dinner and network in a relaxed and fun environment complete with Karaoke, sponsored by Telstra Countrywide.

Mining the Carpentaria Breakfast
Wednesday 16 April 7am - 9:30am

This new event to Expo held at 7am Wednesday at the Buffs Club Billabong Lounge will provide an opportunity for key industrial personnel and exhibitors to not only network but listen to an array of valuable guest speakers. Guests will hear from:

Exhibitor Barbeque
Wednesday 16 April 2008 8pm

An informal BBQ dinner on the lawns of the Buchanan Park Race Club will offer an evening of socialising and networking under our outback stars. Name tags must be worn to this event.

CLOSING FUNCTION
Thursday 17 April 2008 6pm

This is an event not to be missed and a mystery you definitely need to be there to solve.

BOOTH PAYMENT

Please be advised that exhibitors who have not yet paid for their booth will need to present a cheque for their site fee on Bump in on Monday 14 April 2008.

MEET THE BUYER SESSIONS

Unfortunately due to severe staff shortages experienced by a number of mining organisations, the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce has had to cancel the 2008 Meet the Buyer Sessions. We apologise for any inconvenience we have caused any exhibitors and we will endeavour to get this event up and running again for the 2009 Expo.

As this is our final update, we wish everyone a great weekend and look forward to meeting all of you next week for a great week of showcasing, and networking with a touch of our local outback hospitality.
