An anonymous local resident nominated Mr Sharpe for the award after he came out to their residence to assist with a computer related inquiry. Mr Sharpe attended to the enquiry in an extremely timely manner and impressed the customer with his efficient work manner and accommodating nature.
Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce President Brett Peterson said the Chamber was getting a steady flow of nominations and acts such as Mr Sharpe, although seemingly small need to be rewarded either way.
"It's the small acts and gestures in life that can make a big difference, especially in the service sector, and Mr Sharpe has obviously taken the extra time and effort to ensure his customers experience a high standard of service.
"In an extremely chaotic 21st century, the extra time it takes to deliver excellent customer service can be consuming, however it is promising to see that employees are still delivering that quality service nonetheless," Mr Peterson said.
Mr Jason Sharpe received a Dom's Restaurant voucher proudly sponsored by the North Queensland Area Consultative Committee.
Nomination forms can be completed online or picked up from the Chamber Office at 76-78 Camooweal Street and submitted at any time throughout the year.
All nominations are reviewed by the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce Committee at the monthly meeting.
