MINING EXPO EXCITEMENT HITS HIGH

The 2008 Xstrata Mount Isa Mining Expo is quickly approaching and event organisers are ecstatic with the increased demand and interest in this year's event.

Over 80 percent of the booths sold on the first day of registrations in early January and organisers now have a waiting list for both indoor and outdoor hoeker booths.

To cater for the increased demand, event organisers have released three 3 x 3m marquees that are now available for sale and one 6 x 12 space only site. To enquire about these areas please call the office on (07) 4743 9881.

The ever popular Meet the Buyer networking sessions connecting Purchasing Officers to Suppliers in a personal interactive environment will also be released in the up and coming weeks and exhibitors will be able to register for a time to meet with various Purchasing Officers (in 15 minute slots) from mines throughout the Carpentaria Mineral Province.

Another exciting edition to the Xstrata Mining Expo this year is the launch of the "Mining the Carpentaria Breakfast" which is a combination of the previous CMP (Carpentaria Mineral Province) Seminars and the Exhibitor Networking Breakfast on the Wednesday morning. This breakfast will invite a small handful of General Managers and Lead Project Officers from major mines and projects within the Carpentaria Minerals Province to give attendees a valuable insight into the activity within the area. Whilst this breakfast will remain free for exhibitors it will be open for the general public to purchase tickets to the breakfast.

All exhibitors will be contacted directly by NQ Events in regards to their boothing and power requirements, however all other enquiries should be forwarded to the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce Office.
