February 2008 Service Excellence Award

The second recipient has been selected for the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce Service Excellence Award which showcases individuals within the local business community that demonstrate outstanding customer service.

The February Service Excellence Award was presented to Dom’s Restaurant waitress Anna Cubis who was nominated by a member of the community for her high standard of service and enthusiastic and friendly nature.

Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce Manager Patricia O'Callaghan said Anna Cubis was an exemplary role model for people in the hospitality industry.

"Anna Cubis was nominated by a customer who was extremely impressed her by her hospitality etiquette, her outgoing personality and attention to detail.

"The customer felt her standard of service was replicable to waitresses employed by five star restaurants in capital cities and on the coast and is an asset to the organisation she represents," Miss O’Callaghan said.

"The Chamber strongly encourages the community to continue supporting the Service Excellence award and to keep putting forward nominations of their customer service experiences," she said.

Miss Anna Cubis received a Bliss Day Spa Package proudly sponsored by Mount Isa Mining Supplies.

All nominations are reviewed by the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce Committee at the monthly meeting.
