The Chamber is the voice of business in the local community and when you become a member of the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce, you become part of the state's largest coalition of businesses. The Chamber acts on behalf of its membership on issues of general and specific interest to the business community and provides services to help your business and can be your resource for demographic information, and networking events and contacts. Regular meetings are held between the Chamber and Local and State Government politicians to ensure the voice of business is heard where it has the greatest effect. The Chamber is represented on a number of local and government committees and has input to the broad community via State Chamber affiliations.

Membership to the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce incurs an annual fee of $110.00 incl. GST and offers the following benefits and services to your company:

CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP & MOUNT ISA BIZ SUBSCRIPTION RATES

Commercial Rate = Business with 1 - 5 employees

Corporate Rate = Business with 6 - 10 employees

Enterprise Rate = Business with more than 10 employees

* To be eligible for membership, applicants must apply in writing to the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce and be proposed by one member and seconded by another. Applications will be considered by the Management Committee at the monthly meetings held on the first Tuesday of every month unless otherwise arranged.

Members shall be:

• Any person carrying on business within the city and district of Mount Isa
• Any firm, company, corporation, club, association or public body carrying on business within the city and district of Mount Isa providing that such body shall nominate a person to act as a "Member" on their behalf; or
• Any other person or persons whom the Chamber Management Committee may decide at a meeting is a fit and proper person to be a member.
